The Krankies join John Barrowman in Glasgow’s biggest pantomime

Qdos Entertainment, producers of this year’s production of Aladdin at the SECC, have announced that The Krankies will star in the show at the Clyde Auditorium, six years following their last appearance in a Glasgow pantomime. The Krankies, as the Chinese Policemen, will join John Barrowman who plays the title role of Aladdin.

Michael Harrison, managing director of Qdos Entertainment’s pantomime division and executive producer of Aladdin, said:

“The Krankies are synonymous with the great tradition of pantomime in Glasgow and we are thrilled that they will be appearing at the SECC. We have been working with Ian and Janette over the past few seasons and they are widely-regarded as being masters of the genre. Their huge talent, combined with John Barrowman’s energy and showmanship together with our spectacular visual effects, is set to make Aladdin an unmissable pantomime experience.”

Aladdin has all of the traditional elements of pantomime but with the added surprise of an array of 3D special effects. Wearing 3D glasses at certain points throughout the show the audience can rub the magic lamp as it appears in front of their nose, summon the magical 3D Genie from his lamp and join Aladdin on a superb magic carpet ride!

Aladdin runs at the SECC’s Clyde Auditorium from Saturday 11 December 2010 to Sunday 9 January 2011. Tickets can be booked on 0844 395 4000 or online at www.ticketSOUP.com.
